Lemon Rum Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. lemon extract or 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. rum
    3/4 c. boiling water
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Mix sugar and cornstarch, add to boiling water.
    Stir constantly and bring to boil.
    Boil for 5 minutes.
    Add lemon extract or rum and butter.
    Stir until butter is melted.
    Cool and pour over bread pudding.
