Christmas Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. black walnuts
    1/2 lb. green candied cherries
    frozen coconut
    1/2 lb. margarine
    5 eggs
    1 c. pecans, broken
    1/2 lb. red cherries
    2 c. plain flour
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Combine nuts, cherries and coconut; add flour and mix.
    Cream butter until light and fluffy.
    Add sugar gradually and continue to cream; add eggs one at a time, blending well after each.
    Add salt and flour mixture; blend.
    Pour into a greased and floured tube pan, line bottom with wax paper and cover top with foil. Place a pan of hot water in the bottom of oven.
    Bake in oven at 250\u00b0 to 275\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours, removing foil for the last hour of baking.
    Cake is done when top feels slick and sinks slightly from sides of pan.
