Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. Minute rice (before cooking)
    1 lb. steak
    1/4 c. flour
    Crisco shortening
    salt and pepper
    2 c. beef broth or water and bouillon cubes
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1/4 c. water
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    1/4 c. chopped onion
Preparation
    Pound steak and roll in flour.
    Cut in strips or pieces. Brown in Crisco.
    Add beef broth or water, garlic, salt and pepper.
    Simmer until meat is tender, about 20 minutes.
    Add together soy sauce, water and cornstarch.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Add chopped onion and green pepper.
    Serve over cooked rice.
