No Peek Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stewing beef, cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 envelope onion soup mix
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can mushrooms, drained
    1/2 c. red wine
    1 tsp. thyme
    1 to 2 bay leaves
    1 pod garlic, grated
    1/2 c. chopped parsley
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Combine ingredients well in a 2-quart casserole dish.
    Cover and bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
    Don't peek until it's done!
    Serve over noodles or rice.
