Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
slightly beaten egg white
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla together.
Add flour to make a stiff dough.
Using 1 tablespoon of dough at a time, shape dough into pieces 2 1/2 inches long.
Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Brush top of cookie with slightly beaten egg white. Sprinkle with nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 14 to 18 minutes.
