Sweet Strawberry Vinegar - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. strawberries
    4 c. white wine vinegar
    4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Place strawberries in a 3-quart glass or plastic bowl and crush berries.
    Add vinegar; cover and let stand 24 hours.
    Strain into a nonaluminum pan, pressing berries to extract as much juice as possible.
    You should have approximately 6 cups juice.
    Add sugar; bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
    Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Let cool slightly, then strain through a coffee filter or several layers of cheesecloth.
