Seven Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 stalks celery, chopped
    1 can sliced water chestnuts
    1 bag frozen peas, thawed and drained
    1/2-inch thick mayo (not salad dressing)
    4 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated
    4 oz. Romano cheese, grated
    8 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
    1 lb. bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
Preparation
    Layer all ingredients exactly in order, starting with the lettuce and ending with the bacon.
    Do not toss.
    Serve as is. Looks best in a clear glass salad bowl.
