Monte'S Roman Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cake yeast
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
4 c. wheat flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
oil, crumbled rosemary and basil
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Add yeast and sugar to tepid water. Stir well to dissolve both.
Add flour, salt and onion.
Knead until smooth.
Place in oiled bowl.
Let rise until double.
Punch down.
Flatten to thickness of 1 inch on an oiled cookie sheet. Oil top and let rise to double again.
Sprinkle with additional salt, rosemary and basil to taste.
Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes until golden.
Cut in squares to serve.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
