Mae Zimmerman'S Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    door knob peppers
    cabbage
    canning salt
    2 c. water
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cut centers out of door knob peppers.
    Remove all seeds. Grate cabbage.
    To 3 heads of cabbage, add 1/2 cup canning salt and bruise with hands.
    Put cabbage into the peppers and place in jars.
    Bring water, vinegar and sugar to a boil.
    Pour over peppers.
    Place lids on jars.
    Put in a hot water bath for 15 minutes until lids seal.
