Burger Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground chuck (beef)
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    1/4 c. minced onion
    3 c. tomato juice
    2 cans cream of celery soup
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 bay leaf
    2 c. shredded carrots
Preparation
    Brown ground beef or chuck in margarine in soup pot, stirring until crumbly.
    Add onion and cook until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
    Combine tomato juice and soup with 1 can of water in bowl, mixing well.
    Add to ground chuck or beef mixture.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Simmer, covered, for 15 to 20 minutes or until carrots are tender.
    Makes 4 servings.
