Soft Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 Tbsp. hot water
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 egg
    6 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
    Mix together shortening, sugar, molasses, egg and cold water. Dissolve baking soda in the hot water and stir in.
    Combine flour, ginger, cinnamon and salt together; add to molasses mixture, mixing thoroughly.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
