Hot Mushroom Canapes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. mushrooms, finely chopped
    1 c. onion, finely chopped
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    30 slices white bread
    grated Parmesan cheese
    sliced stuffed olives
Preparation
    Wash mushrooms; dry on paper towel.
    Chop fine; saute with onion in butter until tender and most of liquid has evaporated. Remove from heat; stir in flour and gradually stir in milk.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Cook, stirring, until thickened.
    Let cool.
    Cut bread into rounds.
    Spread with mixture using about 1 tablespoon per round.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Freeze until firm.
    Put on foil tray freezer wrap and seal.
    To serve, put on cookie sheet; broil about 8 inches from broiler for 5 minutes or until brown.
    Garnish with olive slice.
