Houska(Bohemian Braided Bread) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. milk, scalded
    4 egg yolks
    1/4 tsp. mace
    1 tsp. salt
    grated rind of 1 lemon
    4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. diced candied cherries
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    little sweetened milk
    3/4 c. powdered sugar
    chopped nuts and cherries (for topping)
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Place sugar and butter in bowl of electric mixer.
    Pour in scalded milk and cool to lukewarm.
    Add egg yolks, grated lemon rind, mace, salt, yeast and half the flour.
    Beat 5 minutes.
    Stir in remaining flour, then stir in the fruit and nuts.
