English Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 c. sugar
    3 tsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. walnuts or pecans
    3 to 5 Hershey bars
Preparation
    Cook butter, sugar, water and vanilla to 300\u00b0.
    Pour onto a well-buttered cookie sheet.
    Immediately lay on Hershey bars. When melted, spread chocolate evenly over cooked mixture.
    Top with nuts.
    Let cool and break into pieces.
    Makes 36 pieces.
