Strawberry Angel Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. strawberries
1 pkg. angel food cake mix
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. cold water
8 oz. whipped topping
Preparation

Reserve several whole strawberries for topping.
Slice remaining strawberries.
Prepare cake mix using package directions. Slice cake into thirds horizontally.
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water in bowl.
Add cold water.
Chill until partially set.
Fold in half the whipped topping gently.
Chill until firm.
Place bottom third of cake on cake plate.
Spread 1/3 of the gelatin mixture over top.
Arrange 1/3 of the sliced strawberries on mixture.
Repeat layers.
Spread remaining whipped topping over top.
Garnish with whole strawberries.
Yields 12 servings.
