Chocolate Angel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine egg whites, salt and cream of tartar; beat until foamy.
    Add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating after each addition until mixture stands in very stiff peaks.
    Fold in nuts and vanilla.
    Spoon into lightly greased 8-inch pie pans and form into a nest-like shell, building up sides.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
    Cool to room temperature.
