Tomato Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (9-inch) deep-dish pie shell (uncooked)
4 to 5 large tomatoes, peeled and thickly sliced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 tsp. basil
garlic powder to taste
3/4 c. mayonnaise
1 1/4 c. grated sharp cheese
Preparation

Bake pie shell for 10 minutes at 370\u00b0. Remove from oven. Layer tomatoes in shell. Sprinkle each layer with salt, pepper, basil and garlic powder. Combine mayonnaise and cheese. Spread over tomatoes. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until brown. Let pie stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
