Cherry Almond Quick Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp. almond extract
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped almonds
1 (6 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, chopped
3/4 c. orange juice
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. margarine
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. salad oil or melted margarine
3/4 c. milk
Preparation

Mix dough ingredients well and roll out into rectangle about 1/2-inch thick.
Sprinkle with mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Roll as for jelly roll, rolling from wide side. Cut into about 12 rolls.
Place cut side down into orange juice mixture (which has been placed in 13 x 9-inch baking pan).
Bake at 400\u00b0 for about 20 to 25 minutes.
