Beef Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. instant minced onion
    3 c. milk
    1 (5 oz.) jar dried beef, sliced
    1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems (undrained)
    pepper to taste
    1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    3 c. prepared mashed potatoes
    salt to taste
    3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    minced parsley or chives
Preparation
    Melt butter in heavy saucepan; blend in flour.
    Remove from heat.
    Add onion, then stir in milk.
    Cook, stirring, until thickened.
    Add beef, mushrooms with liquid, pepper to taste and Worcestershire sauce.
    Spread potatoes in greased, shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Pour beef mixture over top.
    Sprinkle with cheese and parsley. Additional potatoes can be fluted around edge of casserole.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
    Makes 4 servings.
