Italian Sausage Pasta Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. hot or sweet Italian sausage links
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes (undrained), chopped
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. dried basil leaves
    1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    1 (16 oz.) can mixed vegetables
    2 c. rotini, cooked
    2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Place sausage links in a large saucepan or 5-quart Dutch oven. Add water to a depth of about 1/2 inch; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes or until sausage is partially cooked; drain.
    Cut sausage into slices.
    Return to saucepan.
    Add tomatoes, chicken broth, tomato sauce, basil and oregano; blend well.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Stir in vegetables and pasta.
    Cover; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat; simmer 3 to 5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Garnish with Parmesan cheese.
    Serves 6.
