Pima Indian Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. presifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. lard or shortening
warm water or milk, about 1 c.
fat for frying
Preparation

Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening as for biscuits.
Add enough water to make a dough easy to handle. Work dough to a very smooth texture.
This is important and means you must knead the dough until it is soft, yet elastic.
