Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head iceberg lettuce
    1/2 c. chopped green onions
    1/2 c. whole kernel corn
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    bacon, fried crisp and crumbled or may use imitation bacon bits
    3/4 c. Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Layer ingredients in order given in long dish (9 x 5 x 2-inch). Mix mayonnaise and sugar; spread over vegetables.
    Sprinkle cheese and bacon on top.
