Shredded Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head lettuce, shredded
    2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. onion, chopped fine
    1 can LeSueur peas, drained
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1 1/2 c. grated Swiss cheese
Preparation
    In a 9 x 13-inch dish, spread lettuce.
    Sprinkle vegetables over lettuce.
    Ice with mayonnaise.
    Top with cheese, pressing down to thoroughly cover.
    Wrap tightly; refrigerate overnight before using.
    Will keep 3 to 4 days.
    Serves 12 or more.
