Vanilla Wafer Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Knox gelatine
    1 c. sugar
    6 eggs, divided
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 lb. vanilla wafers
Preparation
    Soak gelatine in 1/2 cup cold water; add to beaten egg yolks and sugar.
    Cook in double boiler until thick and smooth; cool. Add pineapple and nuts.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Crush wafers with rolling pin.
    Place a layer of crumbs in a well-greased loaf pan.
    Pour over a layer of filling.
    Repeat, making 5 layers.
    Let stand overnight in refrigerator.
    Serves 12.
