Alvin Hopson'S Texas Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. good flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk
3/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together twice.
After sifting, work in shortening and add buttermilk.
When ingredients are blended, turn out onto floured board.
Roll dough to about 1/2-inch thickness and cut with Texas-size cutter.
Place biscuits on greased sheet and bake in 425\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
