Ingredients

2/3 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
2 eggs
2/3 c. sour cream
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. mini chocolate chips
1 c. coarsely chopped almonds
1/2 c. candy corn (for decoration)
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and cocoa until smooth.
Stir in eggs and sour cream.
Blend the flour, baking soda and salt.
Add to the creamed mixture.
Mix well and fold in the chocolate chips and almonds.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased baking sheet.
Flatten only slightly with a fork to shape into a circle. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Remove from baking sheet immediately.
Press candy cane into cookies for eyes and ears of cat.
Makes 5 dozen.
