Mom'S Pineapple Cheese Pie - cooking recipe

1 (15 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 large and 1 small cream cheese
3 eggs
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cook over medium heat crushed pineapple, 1/2 cup sugar and cornstarch until glossy; cool.
Cream together cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar; add eggs 1 at a time.
Add milk and vanilla. Spread pineapple mixture in bottom of 10-inch unbaked pie shell. Pour cream cheese mixture over pineapple layer.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 325\u00b0 and bake for 50 minutes.
