Brown Sugar Custard Pie With Peanuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
    4 eggs, lightly beaten
    2 1/2 c. milk, scalded
    1 c. peanuts, chopped
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 pie shell
Preparation
    Combine brown sugar, sugar, salt, eggs and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
    Beat with a rotary beater until thoroughly blended. Gradually stir in scalded milk; stir in peanuts.
    Pour into pastry shell and bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes or until silver knife inserted in center of filling comes out clean.
    Cool on wire rack for 30 minutes.
    Chill until ready to serve.
