Skillet Chicken (Or Beef) Teriyaki - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. soy sauce
    1/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 clove garlic
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 lb. chicken (breasts or tenders) or 1 lb. beef strips
    4 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Mix soy sauce, water, sugar, garlic and ginger together. Saute chicken/beef in oil, about 10 minutes.
    Remove meat; drain oil.
    Return meat to pan; pour sauce over the pieces.
    Bring to a boil, then cover.
    Simmer for 20 minutes, turning occasionally. Serve with sauce over rice.
