Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/3 c. milk
    1 egg
    sweetened strawberries
    whipped topping
Preparation
    Stir together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
    Cut in shortening.
    Add egg and milk.
    Roll dough 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut into 3-inch rounds.
    Place 1-inch apart on cookie sheet.
    Sprinkle tops with sugar.
    Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Split when cool. Fill with sweetened strawberries and top with whipped topping.
