Corn Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (16 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained
    1/2 c. chopped red pepper
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. pickling spice, wrapped in mesh
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    dash of salt
    1/2 c. corn syrup
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients (except corn) in saucepan and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and cook, over low heat, for approximately 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
    Add corn last 5 minutes.
    Cool and store in refrigerator.
    Makes 1 quart.
