Greek Pasta - cooking recipe

2 to 3 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 to 3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
8 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 c. white wine
1/2 c. butter or margarine
6 Tbsp. flour
2 c. hot milk
1/2 c. Ricotta cheese
16 oz. uncooked macaroni
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. mild Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation

Brown ground beef, onion and garlic.
Drain fat.
Add salt, pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, tomato sauce and wine.
Cook on low 30 minutes.
Make a roux of 1/2 cup butter and flour.
Add hot milk and cook to thicken, making white sauce.
Add Ricotta cheese. Stir and keep warm.
Cook macaroni.
Add beaten eggs, 1/2 cup butter/margarine and half of the Cheddar cheese.
Add white sauce. Layer one-half of the macaroni mixture in bottom of large casserole.
The second layer is the meat mixture.
The third layer is the remaining macaroni mixture.
Top with the remaining Cheddar cheese.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
