Hot Chicken Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken
    1 c. celery
    1 small onion, chopped
    3 strips pimentos
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. toasted almonds
    1/2 c. chow mein noodles
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Stew chicken and remove meat in bite-size chunks.
    Chop celery, onion and pimento.
    Add to chicken.
    In small bowl, combine chicken soup, mayonnaise, lemon juice and salt.
    Fold into chicken and other ingredients.
    Put mixture in a 1/2-quart buttered casserole and top with a ring of chow mein noodles, ring of toasted almonds and sprinkle center with shredded cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until mixture is thoroughly heated and bubbly.
    Leftovers will reheat well.
    Serves 4 to 6.
