Toll House Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or shortening
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    6 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 1/8 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    7 oz. chocolate chips
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter with sugars.
    Add egg.
    Sift flour, soda and salt together; add to butter and sugar mixture.
    Add a few drops hot water, mix until blended.
    Add chopped nuts, semi-sweet chocolate chips and vanilla.
    Drop by half teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Makes 50 cookies.
