Nutty Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. melted shortening
    3/4 c. molasses
    2 eggs
    2 1/4 c. flour (lightly spooned in c.)
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. ginger
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    whipped topping
Preparation
    In large mixing bowl combine sugar, shortening and molasses. Add eggs and beat well with wooden spoon.
    Stir together dry ingredients and nuts and add to sugar mixture, mixing well.
    Stir in water.
    Pour in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan and bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
