Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. chopped onion
3 Tbsp. margarine or oil
3 Tbsp. flour
3 c. water
3 tsp. McKay's chicken style seasoning
1 c. fresh or frozen broccoli
1 small bay leaf
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. basil
Preparation

Saute onion in margarine or oil until tender; add flour, stirring well.
Add chicken seasoning, then gradually add water. Stir until smooth.
Add broccoli that has been chopped very fine and bay leaf.
Cook over medium heat until tender, stirring frequently.
Reduce heat and stir in milk and basil.
Serve immediately.
Serves 2 to 4.
