Broccoli-Onion Deluxe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. broccoli or 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen
    2 c. small whole onions
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 c. sharp shredded cheese
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
Preparation
    Cook broccoli; drain.
    In saucepan, melt half of the margarine.
    Blend in flour, salt and a dash of pepper.
    Add milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick.
    Reduce heat; blend in cream cheese until smooth.
    Place broccoli and onions in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Pour sauce mixture over and mix lightly. Top with cheese.
    Melt remaining butter; toss with bread crumbs. Sprinkle atop casserole.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
