Dixie Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 pork chops
    Crisco shortening or similar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sage
    4 tart apples, cored, sliced and peeled
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. hot water
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. seedless raisins
Preparation
    Brown chops in hot fat. Sprinkle with salt and sage.
    Place in baking dish. Top with apples and sprinkle with brown sugar.
    Add flour to fat in skillet and blend. Add water and vinegar; cook until thickened.
    Add raisins and pour over chops.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or more.
    Serves 8.
