Layered Ice Cream Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (1 oz.) sq. sweet baking chocolate
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 (5.33 oz.) can Pet milk
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    24 chocolate wafers, crushed
    1/4 c. butter or oleo, melted
    1/2 gal. vanilla soft ice cream
    1 c. whipped cream, whipped
    1/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Melt chocolate and 1/2 cup butter in top of double boiler; stir in sugar, milk and salt.
    Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat and cook 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
    Let cool.
