Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. margarine
1 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
15 pecan halves
Preparation

Cream
sugar and margarine well.
Sift flour with soda. On medium
speed, mix flour, oatmeal and flavoring with sugar mixture.
Mold
dough
into
small
balls
and
place
on
an ungreased
cookie
sheet.
On each cookie, press a pecan piece (1/4) after dipping into a slightly beaten egg white.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until slightly browned.
Yields 5 dozen 2-inch cookies.
