Ingredients

1/2 c. bulk pork sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can condensed tomato soup
1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
1/2 tsp. crushed oregano leaves
3 drops hot pepper sauce
1 c. Cheddar cheese
1 loaf French bread, cut in half
Preparation

In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, cook sausage, onion and garlic until tender and sausage is well browned, stirring to break up meat.
Drain off grease.
Add soup, mushrooms and hot pepper sauce.
Heat to boiling; reduce to low heat and simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes.
Remove from heat; cool slightly.
Place bread, cut side up, on baking pan.
Spoon mixture on bread.
Sprinkle on cheese.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until hot.
Cut each bread half into 8 slices and serve.
