Calldo Verde(Potato And Kale Soup With Sausage) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. fresh kale or collard greens
4 oz. linguica or substitute 4 oz. chorizo or any other garlic seasoned smoked pork sausage
3 medium sized potatoes (about 1 lb.), peeled and sliced to 1/4-inch thick rounds
6 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. olive oil
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Preparation

Wash the greens under cold running water.
With a sharp knife trim away any bruised or blemished spots and strip the leaves from their stems.
Bunch the leaves together and shred them into the finest possible strips; set aside.
