Meltaway Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks margarine, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. plain flour
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream together margarine and sugar.
    Add egg yolk and vanilla. Mix in flour; this will be stiff.
    Add 1/2 cup nuts.
    Press into well oiled jelly roll pan.
    Beat egg white until frothy, then smooth over dough.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts over all.
    Pat dough slightly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes, until lightly brown. Cool slightly, then cut into bars and finish cooling on rack.
