Fondue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Gouda cheese
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    pepper to taste
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 c. dry white wine
    2 tsp. Kirsch
    bread, cubed
    2 tsp. garlic, finely chopped
Preparation
    Grate cheese.
    Melt butter in saucepan and add flour, stirring with a wire whisk.
    Add milk, stirring rapidly with whisk.
    When blended and smooth, add garlic, pepper, nutmeg and wine.
    Add Kirsch, if desired.
    Serve hot with bread cubes for dipping.
    If the sauce is to be used over vegetables, omit the Kirsch.
