Baptist Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 stick margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1 c. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Beat together Crisco, butter and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add with milk to first mixture; add flavorings. Grease and flour tube pan.
Pour mixture into pan.
Place in cold oven and turn heat to 350\u00b0 and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tests done.
Let stand for 3 to 5 minutes before removing from pan.
