Apple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow or butter flavor cake mix
    4 to 5 medium apples
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Preheat oven at 350\u00b0.
    Melt butter in 9 x 13-inch baking pan on stove.
    Sprinkle brown sugar on bottom of pan.
    Peel and thinly slice apples, then arrange in one layer over brown sugar.
    Prepare cake mix according to directions on package and pour over apples. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Test with toothpick.
    Let cool.
    To serve, cut and then flip slice over and top with Cool Whip.
