Au Gratin Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. potatoes
    1 onion, chopped
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
    2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar
    1/4 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Wash, peel and remove eyes from potatoes.
    Thinly slice.
    Cook onion in butter; stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Cook over low heat until bubbly.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in milk and cheese. Heat to boil, 1 minute.
    Put potatoes in ungreased pan.
    Pour on cheese sauce.
    Cook, uncovered, at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Sprinkle on bread crumbs.
    Bake 15 minutes more.
