Stuffed Date Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 pecan or walnut halves
    24 pitted whole dates
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/3 c. packed brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
    1 egg yolk
    1/3 c. dairy sour cream
    1 recipe Golden Frosting
Preparation
    Cut pecans or walnuts lengthwise.
    Stuff dates with nuts; set aside.
    In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and soda; set aside.
    In a mixer bowl, beat brown sugar and margarine with electric mixer on medium speed until combined.
    Add egg yolk and beat on medium speed until combined.
    Add flour mixture and sour cream alternately, beating on low speed until combined.
    Stir in filled dates.
    Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls (1 date per cookie) onto a greased baking sheet.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown.
    Remove, cool.
    Frost with Golden Frosting.
    Makes 24.
