Ingredients
-
7 c. bread flour
4 egg whites
1/4 c. yeast
1 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. cooking oil
16 oz. water
Preparation
-
Dissolve the yeast in the water. Sift salt, sugar and flour into a bowl. Make a well in the middle of flour mixture; add the egg whites and yeast water. Knead the dough. Divide the dough into 3 pieces. Use a food processor that kneads the dough or you can knead the dough by hand. Set aside the dough in bowls; cover and let the dough rise until it doubles in size (approximately 1 to 2 hours). Punch down and knead the dough again; cover and let the dough rise again for another hour. Sprinkle corn meal on a cookie sheet (prevents it from sticking). Form the dough into loaves and arrange on the cookie sheet. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0 and bake for 40 minutes.
