Heavenly Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 small (flat) can crushed pineapple, reserve juice
    1 (4 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, chopped, reserve juice
    18 marshmallows, quartered
    juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 pt. heavy cream, whipped
    chopped pecans for garnish
Preparation
    Blend together in saucepan cornstarch, salt and 3/4 cup of juice drained from pineapple and cherries (objective, a smooth thin mixture).
    When smooth, cook, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened; cool slightly.
    Then stir in quartered marshmallows. Chill until somewhat thickened, then beat well using electric mixer.
    Gently mix in crushed pineapple, chopped cherries and lemon juice.
    Then fold in whipped cream.
    Spoon into serving dishes and chill for at least 3 hours.
    To garnish, top with chopped pecans.
